We had a lovely Easter yesterday. We colored eggs in the morning which Tabitha thought was loads of fun. We did 23 eggs all together. My mom and sister came over after lunch and then all of us took the dog for a walk while the Easter Bunny (aka Chris, secretly arriving home from work) hid all the eggs and the baskets. When we got back from our walk Tabitha saw an egg on the front step and was beside herself with joy. She only wanted the eggs and we had to remind her to look for her baskets. We had to give her two, because we bought 8 jars of playdoh and they wouldn't fit in her regular basket with toys in it. She was happy to find the playdoh and was really surprised that there was stuff in her baskets. She received the playdoh, plus a Little People farm accesory with video, a Kelly doll dressed as an Easter chick, a hippo flashlight (she has a thing for flashlights), a Disneyland pressed penny book, Power Rings connector toys and a small Mega Blocks car set. In the hidden eggs was some candy, some change, and the golden egg had a dollar in it. We also hide a big carrot and it was filled with Nerds this year. We had dinner around 5:00pm. I served deviled eggs (made out of half of the dyed eggs), cabbage salad, spinach artichoke lasagna, roasted asparagus, garlic bread, cookies and brownies. I'm very pleased with how the day went.
Tabitha has a bit of a cold, unfortunately. Today we've been complete bums. She has watched tv since she got up and I've sat here at the computer in between folding loads of laundry. Other than that, I've done nothing. I don't even think I'm going to cook dinner, I'm really leaning towards going out. Maybe just to Dennys, nothing that's a big deal.
