Today we walked up the street to the nearest fire station and donated toys for their program. Tabitha picked out a Barbie, Polly Pocket, Littlest Pet Shop, puzzle and My Little Pony. The fireman was pleased with how much Tabitha brought and talked to her for a bit and gave her fireman sticker badges. One of these years I'd like to do adopt a family at Christmas instead, I think.

The rest of the day was spent hanging out at home, plus lessons in the afternoon. We've kind of gone back to them being later in the day as Daisy doesn't always go down for her first nap in enough time for us to finish lessons before lunch. We can't exactly delay lunch because not only is that not fair to Tabitha, but you can't get a hungry kid to care about anything except when they get to eat.

I must say this is the most lassez faire I've ever been for Christmas. My cards still aren't out and not only have I not wrapped anything, I don't even have wrapping paper. But I'm not stressing because I know it will all get done. Chris isn't going to work from next Tuesday until after Christmas so that keeps me relaxed, knowing he'll be here to help. I kind of like it this way.
