The party was great! We all partied hard and didn't leave until 11, which is unheard of for Chris and I. Of course Tabitha, being the social butterfly that she is, was wanting to stay longer. Daisy did really well, especially considering the circumstances. There was food, so that helped. She ate more than Tabitha did, lol. Some of the keiki and wahine danced a couple numbers, it's always a treat to watch the wahine. Then the dancers were divided into three groups and each group had to make up a new kahiko (think chanting) style dance complete with walk-in and out and various chants (that I have yet to learn the proper names for). Tabitha's group did "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and it was pretty funny. Her group had the best walk-in/off as they did a Jingle Bell chant, but another group did "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" and there actual interpretive dance was just hysterical. There was also a gift exchange and Tabitha is very pleased by what she received. It's one of those heads of a Barbie, but it's a Cali Barbie, which does mean California, but she's on vacation in Hawai'i so the hair pieces are supposedly Hawai'ian. Tabitha has a head but has been begging me for another for a long time so you can imagine how thrilled she is to finally have a second one.

Despite getting to bed so late, Chris and I were each up with Daisy once and now, of course, she's sleeping very soundly. Tabitha has been up about half an hour, but she vegged out on the couch right now. Chris is gone as he's out shopping with his dad and brother, it's a yearly tradition. The kids and I are going to get some shopping done today and then we'll have to pick Chris up at work this evening since he's being dropped off.
