Solstice Canyon

The beauty of living in Southern California is we can have temperatures in the mid-70s in January. Here we are on a day hike to Solstice Canyon in Malibu.

Broken pottery the girls collected around the ruins of an old house

Another house in ruins. Built 1952, destroyed by fire in 1982.

On the way to explore a creek

There's a type of grotto area that used to have a fountain and still houses
a statue of the Virgin Mary, though it is now broken.

I had Tabitha take this picture to prove I was there too

I really loved how the sun was making the leaves look golden

Posing in a tree hollowed out by a 2007 fire
